Research into target audience


Our target audience is primarily the younger generation, teenagers are the main listeners of Pop/R&B music which is a large market as teenagers have the most disposable income. Hugely successful artists like Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus have a largely profitable career because their Pop music has given them a starting point for a massive franchise across the globe.

From networking sites like Facebook we can learn how the majority of fans for artists like Beyonce are teenagers, they use the internet and media software daily and download songs from available sites like Itunez.

Our music video will be aimed at the same target audiences as these artists as their videos have influenced us. As teenagers we know what appeals to our age group which will give us the insight to making a music video for this age range. The band that we have chosen is an all girl band so we can look at similar bands to give us an idea at how these artists are marketed.
